Goat Breeding

Commercial goat farming is becoming popular as a highly profitable business.  A growing demand and an established network of livestock management departments in the country make this an interesting business and viable proposition, in both the short and long term.

There are numerous goat breeds native to India or available in India. Some goat breeds are viable but not all are suited for commercial production. At Srinivasa Farms, we are experimenting with new and innovative breeding methods with breeds such as Jamunapari, Boer and Osmanaabadi goats.

Our animals are housed in a dedicated goat housing system with an efficient housing design to ensure increased production and profitability, compared to traditional systems. This farm has a capacity of 1000 goats currently and a goal to rapidly expand to 100 goats/day.

To ensure healthy and optimal growth, our goats are fed a well-balanced and nutritious diet comprising a good supply of green grasses and other green foods, fresh water and 12% -18% protein based feeds fortified with essential vitamins and minerals.
