SH Food Processing Pvt. Ltd., is a joint venture between Srinivasa Farms and Malaxmi Group. Srinivasa Farms is a leading name in the poultry and food processing industry, while Malaxmi Group’s core competencies lie in energy, agribusiness, property development and infrastructure. This joint venture is created to set up a Mega Food Park (MFP) in Prakasam District, Andhra Pradesh. The one of its kind MFP will have a focus on Chicken and Eggs processing, amongst other things and is approved and supported by Andhra Pradesh Food Processing Society (APFPS), under the Mega Food Park Scheme, Government of Andhra Pradesh (GoAP).
The Srinivasa MFP will be established as a hub-and-spoke model, with one Central Processing Center (CPC), three Primary Processing Centers (PPCs) and several Field Collection Centers (FCCs). The CPC is being set up at Mustla Gangavaram, near Markapur in Prakasam District. The PPC locations are proposed to be set up in Krishna, Kurnool and West Godavari Districts.
The Mega Food Park will function as a facilities cluster for food production and processing and is being located in an agriculturally rich and vibrant location, known for its high production of rice, corn, pulses, oil seeds, spices, fisheries, poultry and horticultural produce. This is meant to guarantee a reliable supply of raw materials all through the year to the food processing units.
